Believe it or not, the LTG engine used in the 2016  2.0T Camaro was designed from the manufacturer to be a Flex Fuel compatible vehicle. However, the final production does not have all of the necessary equipment to run Flex Fuel. With the RPM-Motorsports Flex Fuel Conversion Kit, and our Stage 1 Flex Fuel Tune, you can easily convert your Turbocharged Camaro to a Flex Fuel Vehicle. About 1 hour of work under the hood to install the required conversion parts (no complicated installs here), a software update from our Stage 1 Tune, and your car unlocks the ability to read the amount of ethanol in your fuel line, and make live adjustments to your tune based on the ever changing percentage between fill-ups.

The main reason that most people like to run E85 in their supercharged and turbocharged cars is simply for MORE POWER. The higher octane rating of the E85 fuel, and the evaporative cooling effects of the alcohol in the fuel allow for more powerful tunes. Being able to take advantage of that power, with the added convenience and safety of being Flex Fuel is rather important to many of our customers. Since this is a true Flex Fuel setup, and not just an E85-only tune, you can switch at will between fuel types, mix them in any ratio you please, and not have to worry about ethanol content changes from Summer Blend to Winter Blend or from station to station each time you fill up your tank.

The answer is simple, General Motors disabled the Flex Fuel tables in the stock tune. Without our Flex Fuel Stage 1 Tune you would not be able to have your ECU recognize the data output from the sensor provided in this kit.
